Two different and brand new movies i backed up with dvd shrink, nero express, and a brand new soni dvd+- burner play back as if someone took sand paper to them. Never seen this before, its getting frustrating and i don't want to waste $20 in blanks to figure it out . I'd realy apreciate any help.
Thanx

if it's a new burner is it quicker? i.e. are you burning faster than you used to? could be buffer underruns.
-
Indeed. It is always a good idea to try different speeds if one disk you burn at full speed doesn't work. I myself am in the process of getting a new processor because my current one cannot keep up with the demands of the drive at 4X.

Have you ever used the same brand/type of media before with a differnet (or the same) burner in your standalone DVD player. If not then player/media compatibility could well be the problem, try a different brand. Visit the media forum for reccomendations.
