Currently I use DVDInfoPro to verify some important discs every few months, but I was hoping to find a tool that runs under linux which will also works.
Thanks,

Something like md5sum?
A man without a woman is like a statue without pigeons. -
That would work for disks I have a know good md5 check sum.
Howver, with a program like DVDInfoPro it works for any disk. It will report read errors, retry the read and report if the read failed again.
