  1. I have made a personally compiled set of dvds, that contain motion menus, and I want to make a copy of this set... The set is about 40 dvds... I only have one dvd-rw drive, so I can't copy on the fly, so I have to save the image to my hd, then insert a dvd-r, and burn it... This process has been taking me about an hour and a half to complete 1 dvd copy! Is there a faster way? I have tried CloneDVD Version 2.2, and Nero 6, to copy the whole dvd. I was thinking about trying DVDxCopy, but I don't know if that will copy my whole dvd (4.2 GB), and if it will be faster? Also, does the amount of memory on your computer determine how fast you can rip and burn? I am using a sony dru-500ax (4x burning) with 4x 4.7GB certified dvd-r. The DVDs that I am copying each have around 4.2 GB of data on them. Please help me!

  2. I would use dvd decrypter and rip your oringinal in iso mode and then subseqently write in iso mode.

If you have a dvd rom I would use that for the reading side to save your writers laser.

  3. Since you made those DVDs and can't put copy protection on them you don't haft to rip them, but simply copy the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and the files they contain over to your hard drive, then burn a new disk using those folders.

You could create an image file of the DVD with your burning program, then burn the image if you wanted, but i'm not sure which is the fastest way. I would assume a straight file copy to harddrive would be faster than creating the image, but either way (should) be faster than using ripping software(?). You'll need to test that theory I guess.

The Speed question? I'd say you're going to be limited by the read/write speed of your DVD drive. A faster drive would help you here.

    Good luck.
