  1. I am having problems burning DVD+R on my 107D. Tried Compusa, and TDK+Rs at 2.4x and 4x without success. I have installed the latest firmware (ver. 1.12). I am using DVD Shrink and Nero 6. I can't even burn data to DVD+Rs. Here's the error I am getting:

    9:15:16 PM #24 CDR -1066 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1620
    Invalid field in command

    9:15:16 PM #25 TRANSFER -24 File ThreadedTransferInterface.cpp, Line 1620
Could not perform end of Disc-at-once

    9:15:16 PM #26 Phase 38 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 235
    Burn process failed at 4x (5,520 KB/s)

All DVD-R and -RW I have tried work fine. Any ideas?

  3. My drive is actually a DVRA07, and the firmware as per the pioneer site is listed as 1.12. There's also a disclaimer stating that improper flashing could damage the drive. I've seen 107 and A07 used interchangeably on this forum, but I'm guessing there is a difference somewhere. I'm definitely not "impressed" with Pioneer. Their site only seems to work half of the time I try to access it, they never sent me my $30 refund because of a serial number issue, and I can't even write DVD+R at 1x!

No biggie really since I bought the $25 2 year protection plan at CompUSA.

  7. 1.-nero is shite for burning dvds.
2.-you got the warranty, flash it-if it doesnt work, then return it.
3.copytodvd is IMO,the best programme for burning dvds.

  8. 1. No it's not. I've used it exclusively for years. No problems bar those of my own making to report here. If it's that bad, why do so many manufacturers license it for use with their retail drives ? If you're going to make sweeping statements like that, you really should justify it...

    2. Warranty will not include the use of uncertified media and the like, so you might have trouble enforcing that one. If the drive works as expected, the original poster will probably be charged. The drive appears to work so sending it back probably isn't an option.

What version of Nero 6 are you using? I think there was a problem with the original version 6 and writing to DVD+Rs. Try updating your Nero with the newest updates, this may fix the problem.
