  1. folks,

    summary:

i have an end user that just bought a new computer with xp on it. however they have programs that can only run on 98 or ME. i attempted to use the compatibility program with no success. so, i am going to wipe the hard drive and make a win xp partition and a win 98se partition.

    problem:

there is no way for me to track down win 98 drivers for this current computer as they probably do not exist.

    query:

is it possible to use win xp drivers on the win 98 partition???

  2. what are the drivers for. You can always find drivers somewhere on the net.

  3. if i load win 98 on the partition i need drivers for all of the hardware on the computer. the problem is that this is a brand new dell computer specifically built to use win xp. i am not sure if the driver disks provided with the computer can be used with win 98.

    any guesses???

    I don't think you do. I used syscommander to partition a pc.98 & Xp.
I could only use my old scanner(no xp driver updates) with 98.
