  1. I got some TV programs recorded in SVCD format. I just found out that all audio is messed up with no signal at all from the right channel although it is still recognized as stereo.

The best thing I can think of reparing is to copy the left channel data into the right so that at least the sound will be balanced.

I know I can easily do the copy in a sound editor such as cooledit pro. But I want to know if there's a way to copy the channel in native mpeg2 audio format. I don't want to re-encode anything if possible. So if I can de-mux the clip, fix the audo in mpa format, the re-mux the audio back with the orig video, that's a good solution.

Can anyone tell how and/or what program to use to do this channel copy in mpeg2 audio natively without re-encoing?

    Thanks a lot!

I'm pretty sure re-encoding is a must considering that you will be adding a channel in place of dead silence. I've done things like this and I wasn't able to notice any loss.
