  1. Just wondering if anyone knows a good way to extract a subpicture button, one that appears when selected etc., from a DVD?

  2. I should add, I have tried capturing with snagit and camtasia studio, these subpics are quite resilient to screen capture, atleast my Quills DVD is. It will record the video if the subpic buttons are not activated (happens when I start CIneplayer first) but will record nothing if they are activated (I start Techsmith first).

  3. SubRip. Select the VTS_0x_0.VOB file and deselect all others. Will rip all subpictures, then you select the one you need. Note that the buttons may not always be in the subpicture. They can be part of the background and the subpicture can be just an outline. If so, you can save the background into a bitmap image with MenuEdit or some software DVD players (like PowerDVD or WinDVD).
