What is the best DV capture card from video camera to notebooks ( in terms of picture quality ) ..I will work with Pinnacle studio 8
is it in the form of a PCMCIA type 2 card with firewire ?
with the limited brands, I seem to favour Taiwan's Mercury brand ( a motherboard maker) over China's syba.com

There are quite a few PCMCIA Firewire cards out there that are inexpensive and should work fine. I use a Addonics model that was about $35US. Firewire cards don't capture, they just transfer video files the same as any data drive would.
