Burning VCD with Nero 6316

I'm trying to make a VCD with Nero from a 699MB avi file. After Nero gets done encoding it and trys to burn, it gives me an error to put in a blank CD, obviously I already have in there and I know it's clean, so WTF? I'm even using a 800MB CD, but I've also tried using 700MB CD's, but nothing. Any ideas?

WTF with U? 699MB AVI would not fit in a 800MB VCD. Da.... Please do us a favour. Read some of the guides here.

#1: dont reencode with nero, especially nero 6.
#2: read the guides of how to properly do this task with something like tmpgenc.
#3: obviously a full divx movie wont fit onto one vcd..Vcd holds somewhere around 80 mins. Unless the movie is under 80 minutes long, it probably wont hold.

It is under 80 min.

I thought re-encoding would make it be able to fit. If it starts out at 699MB, re-encoding it isn't going to make it bigger, is it?

I'll try tmpgenc instead, thanks.
