Hi all,
I'm getting an NEC 2500a DVD writer and a Toshiba SD330 DVD Player in the next few daysand wanted to know which would be the most compatable media. I want to play DVDRs on the Toshiba, but I would also like them to be playable on as many other DVD players as possible. Does any body have this Set-up and could reccomend something (preferably DVD-R)?
I've also recently learned about bittsettings on DVDs. Would changing the bitsetting to DVD Rom so that the Player thinks that the media is DVDRom rather than DVD+/-R? This is supposed to improve compatability with players, but is it OK to do this with all burned DVDs?
Also, how does the protection on PS2/XBOX games work? Is it this type of bitsetting which is used? What does the Chip on a PS2/XBOX do?
Thanks for your help,
Iceberg.
