Does anyone know why my audio is so hot and distorted when I capture analog from my VCR. The video is great but the audio is terrible. I'm just trying to back up a Veggie Tales video for my son, and I'm running the stereo plug, from my TV Cap card, into the line in on my motherboard's sound port. Great video but terrrrrrrrribbblllle sound. I'm grateful for any advice

    I'm lost here. Randy

Are you sure you're plugging into a line in port not a microphone port? Also, check the advacanced properties of the System Mixer (both recoring and playback properties) and be sure not to enable the 20 dB boost (for microphones) on that port.

Definitely in the right port. Checking 20db now.

    Check! No boost on.

    Thanks, Randy
