  1. I have two divx movies (one in Japanese and one in Italian) that have English subtitle files, which have the smi extension (divxmoviename.smi). I would appreciate a recommendation of a software player that handles this subtitle format. I tried microdvd 1.2 and playa 0.64 with no luck. Is there a website that specializes in subtitle issues?

    Thanks

  2. all you need is windows media player to display the .smi subtitles although sasami media player was created specifically for that i believe. The only thing you need to view the subtitles in windows media player is a filter that supports them, then pretty much any media player you use will display them. DivXG400 does this and DirectVobSub will as well. Tho I don't suggest installing more than one of these cuz it just becomes unnecessary.
