I have a electric scooter similar to this one.
For any one that has one or knows about these are there any ways to speed this up?

funny, but seriously. One of my paintballing freinds was suggesting co2... ?
EDIT: My motor looks like this:

Chainsaw motor!
Stronger/faster motor and or different size pulleys/sprocketsHope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -
i have seen several gas powered scooters kids in the neighborhood have... wonder if you could somehow get rid of the electric motor and convert it over to gas.....
look something like this
-
yeah, i dont think there is any way to make an electric motor any faster without shorting it out. although, you might be able to add another electric motor to your existing one. but if you can convert it to gas, you could run nitrous or something like that.

Change the final drive ratio by changing one of the pullys, gears or whatever the final drive system is. You will exchange power for speed, so stay away from hills.
-
yeah... what the guy above me said... u want more speed? change the gears.. make em bigger (acceleration and power is scacrificed though) but only change the final drive gear... the others will just make acceleration slower but with a higher top speed..

If you want a "scooter", stick with a scooter. If you wanna go fast, I recommend this:

Nothin' quite like a 700MPH MC powered by a V-10 Dodge Viper motor 8)
As for the scooter try something like this:

"Terminated!" :firing: -
As for the scooter try something like this:

yeah but he'd need some extra weight to keep his scooter from launching into orbit

What does this mean and how do i do it? PLease keep in mind that i dont know diddily squat about cars or any technical names. So if you feel like you want to take the time out and show pictures and say stuff like " take that thingy on the right and connect it with the springy shiny thing" than that will work.
O yea thanks for responding. -
Basicly, the sprocket (pully) sizes determine drive ratio. If the rear sprocket is 3 x the size of the front sprocket, then you have a 3:1 drive ratio. If you reduce the size of the rear sprocket or increase the size of the front sprocket, then you will increase top speed (provided the motor can pull the same RPM).
In reality, you'd be better off with a gas engine, or save your money for a Motorcyle.Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -

err... theres a trick we spannish people like to do down here in D.R....
Instead of having 1 positive wire and one negative wire powering the engine... we ussually put 2 positive wires to power the engine... This like over clocks the dam thing... Try it on a fan... the thing will have double the power ! But then of course err... u will decrease the life dramatically.
