  2. I assume you are referring to videos you've recorded onto DVD-RAM from a set-top DVD recorder? Both of these programs have the ability to import the video, from the .VRO file on the DVD-RAM, onto the hard drive on your computer:

    TMPGEnc DVD Author
    Ulead MovieFactory

You can then use these programs to create any menus and chapters you want (or none) then burn to DVDR. TMPGEnc DVD Author is probably the easiest to use.

Also, this is assuming your computer's DVD drive will read DVD-RAM discs.

Lot of the discussion on the forums about this.

First don't do any editing of video on the DVD-RAM itself, this would cause audio/video sync problems in the future.

There are several ways to do this, here is my process...
    1) I copy the .VRO from the DVD-RAM disk to hard drive
    2) Re-name the .VRO file to .MPG
    3) Using DVDLab, I demultiplexed the audio (in DVDLab) before inserting the video and audio into the "Movie Menu"
    5) Prepare Format of DVD (Play button, Background, Chapters etc, Links to buttons, etc.)
    4) "Compile the dvd"
    5) Burn the DVD with CopytoDVD

Also if you are doing any editing on a standalone recorder from the HD you can't highspeed dub to DVD-RAM, you would have to record at 1x and force a re-encode.

Just finished another before I logged in. DVD-RAM to PC HDD via LG4040B. Edited with Womble Mpeg Video Wizard. Loaded Mpegs into TMPGEnc DVD Author. Burned VOBs with Nero 5. Nothing easier...

  5. Just want tro share with you.

I just finish one. I want to make another copy of my dvd movie in another dvd.

1st trial, i used tmpgenc dvd author to download the movie and then burn to dvd. The movie looks same but the closed caption is not function.

2nd trial, I copy the disk, my movie into c drive. then use tmpgenc dvd author to burn. The movie as good as the original dvd and closed caption is working.
