  1. I am using Linux (dvgrab/transcode/dvdauthor) to create DVDs from DV source. Everything is working but I can't seem to figure out how to get the time and date stamp to display. I know the AVI stores it because I can see it using Kino but I need a way to extract it and insert it as a subtitle or something on the DVD so it will show up on screen. Any leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  3. only solution I've found is DV Time Stamp, cheap software $10 check http://www.geocities.com/dts8888/. Works excellent but time consuming, you have to process the whole file again, takes about the same time as copying DV to hard-drive.

disadvantage is that you cant do a DV to MPG on-the-fly because it only workd on DV-AVI format.

for some reason the Date/Time stamp is in the DV-file but not shown, maybe someone can explain that
