I need help in capturing time/date stamp from a Sony DVD (from a Sony DVD videocamera). I do not have the Sony camera and the Panasonic camera that I have does not play the Sony DVD. I can play it via my DVD player but cannot view the time/date stamp. Is there anyway to capture the time/date stamp?

some "pro" editors allow for this but it's easy enough to add an old date if it's that important

I need times through out the entire video. I have Pinnacle Studio. Do you know of anyway that would pull it off?

Does anyone know what software can capture the date / time stamp in a Sony HDD camcorder? I'm hearing that only DV videos can be date / time stamped when recorded to DVD.... is this true? That is what I would like to be able to do, even if it means inserting the date / time as subtitles. Thanks.

For the Sony HDD camcorder- I have 2 of the 30 GB ...45... models.
You must burn the disc with analog output cables- not digital- to have it visible. Supposedly it can be done w/ digital. I bought a Sony disc burner and use the analog inputs.
