Go into virtualdub and open the file again. Press OK to the error. go to the audio menu and set to Full Processing. Go to the File menu and go to Save As WAV. Close VirtualDub and reopen it. Reopen the original AVI, GO to Audio menu and go to WAV audio. Browse to the WAV file you created. Set your compression settings, go to the video menu and set to Direct Stream Copy and go to File Menu > Save As AVI.
If in doubt, Google it. -
I try to do what you told me but on the beginning when I tried to save this file with full processing mode in Audio I've got projected file size 74749.44MB and I stop processing. What's wrong?
Another thing can you tell me what I'm supposed to change in this file to be able play this on the Dvd/Divx Player.JKoniak -
That Divx file has a VBR Mp3. Chances are your player doesn't like VBR Mp3. Just use virtualdub mod and go to stream as suggested - save the file as wav. If you pick full processing it'll be about 10 megs per minute. If it's still an mp3 with a wav header, it'll be about 1.5 megs per minute or so.
If it's the mp3 size, strip the wav header or using something like besweet convert it from wav to wav, resulting in a large file. Convert that to a CBR Mp3 and load up the .avi and save that new mp3 as the new stream. Disable the existing one and save it.
MAKE SURE YOUR VIDEO IS DIRECT STREAM COPY. I have a feeling that's why you're getting such a huge number for the file. If you do direct copy for the video and direct copy for the new audio stream while disabling the old audio, it should be about the exact same size as it was before.
Just be sure to use an audio format your divx player can already handle (probably standard cbr mp3). -
You must have missed a step somewhere.
1. Go into virtualdub and open the file.
2. Press OK to the error. go to the audio menu and set to Full Processing.
3. Go to the File menu and go to Save As WAV.
4. Close VirtualDub and reopen it.
5. Reopen the original AVI, Go to Audio menu and go to WAV audio.
6. Browse to the WAV file you created.
7. Set your audio compression settings.
8. Goto the video menu and set to Direct Stream Copy.
9. Go to File Menu > Save As AVI.
The projected size can fluctuate quite a bit leave it going for at least a minute and you'll see what I mean.If in doubt, Google it. -
Hi
I did everything like you told me but in one moment when I try to set up compression of audio and I open AUDIO I cannot go there because COMPRESSION sign is not solid (can't be open).
I tried to save this as a new Avi file and I've got 1.38 GB file.
Can you tell me what's wrong ?
Another question. There is some way to put parameters from good avi file to avi file which I cannot play on dvd player (change some different parameters)
P.S.
I recorded this 1.38GB file on dvd and I try to play on my dvd player. I have picture but I don't have sound.
