TMPGEnc DVD Author Drive Selection

Hello. Since yesterday, the TMPGEnc DVD Author's DVD Writing Tool does not recognize my DVD drive. Before it could. I usually insert my DVD-R or DVD+RW before I click on the "Open Writing Tool" button. However, these 2 days, there is no recorder drive listed in the drop down menu. What is the problem? The drive still works because I can burn in Nero.

And of course you're going to be a tease and not tell us if you did anything to your PC since yesterday: install/remove hardware/software, downloaded, defragged, ran virus scan, or anything else, right?

Well of course I installed several trial software to see which one would suit my needs. But I guess none of them did so I will have to remove them all sometime...maybe right now..

Ok, I removed all the things that I don't need but it still won't let me select the drive. Can anyone help me?

Did you reinstall DVD Author after uninstalling the other programs? One of the other programs may have thrown it out of whack.

Well, my uncle helped me install the original TDA and I don't know the serial code if there is one?
