  1. Can someone Give me a top 5 media list that are available in the uk and where to get them from?

I know theres Datawrite which is actually princo and there is ritek which i can never find so basically a top five list and where to get the from will be useful.

also which media i shoudl stay clear of would be helpful as well!

If it helps i have the Pioneer 107D

  2. "Good media" is highly subjective - my recorder will write to anything I feed it, but if it won't play right to the edge on my Sony DVD player which is a picky bugger at the best of times, I don't consider the media to be good. I'm not one for only using say 4Gb to be safe. Just because a disc doesn't meet my criteria doesn't mean you wouldn't rave over it.

However, you could do a lot worse than check out the lads at SVP:

    http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk

They are very honest with their product descriptions, stock Ritek and are reliable. I use them almost exclusively these days, and on the rare occasion I've had to take up an issue with them, they solved the problem admirably.

  4. i also am using the Pioneer 107D

i buy all my stuff at:

    www.svp.co.uk (same site as blankdiscshop)

i buy the Ritek Organe overprints (NOT the landscape stuff!) and they work perfectly. with hacked firmware they also burn at 8x (rated at 4x)

i have also had sucess with the Rietk Printables and Ritek GO3 media!

apparently, the Datawrite Red (revison 3) is new and good quality, but personally i think Ritek offer the best price/performance ratio!

    2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website

I also use www.svp.co.uk and can't fault them; very competitive prices, good customer service and friendly emails; etc. Being a cheapskate I just use the Orange Bulkpaqs (which purists usually slag-off) but I've had no problem with them. Am now on 3rd spindle and they play absolutely flawlessly on my standalone (Pioneer dv-350) and my PS2.

    Hi Kamran,

SVP / Blankdiscshop as above - I can't fault them.

As for top 5, check out the brown "DVD Media" link to the left. But, from what I've seen in these forums, Ritek G04 seems popular / recommended.
