    ok, heres the deal. I have searched for a day now. So im gonna ask the question. My toshiba 2109 player will play cdrw audio files, but not vcd. Ive searched compatibility charts and they say you can play vcd on cdrw. Any suggestion would be a big help. Cuz im not getting anything but an error. Thank you in advance

    Jason, You definately CAN play VCD's on a Tosh 2109 using CDRW media. I have had such a unit for over 2 years and can play any VCD (original) or CDRW written. Playback quality wise it's reasonable. The VCD must be a fully compliant VCD standard, see "what is VCD" on this site. Burn the created VCD standard .mpg file using Nero or EasyCD creator and it will work fine. Depending on your source ie via DVD rip or Digital Video or AVI etc the output mpg quality will vary. Persist and use the guides here for a result.
