checklist:
dvd2avi.vfp is in the same directory like dvd2avi.exe
TMPGEnc.vfp is in the same directory like TMPGEnc.exe
run TMPGENcVFP_INSTALL.bat
check TMPGEnc vfp is registered to VFAPI (TMPG>option)
check VFAPI plugin (dvd2avi>help)
TMPG> option> enviromental setting> VFAPI> check dvd2avi project file reader and/or select a higher priority.

Thanks
Found out what my problem was.
I didn't wait enough -didn't realize that dvd2avi had to finish the process first....
Silly me!
But now i am wondering after i encode the whole video - what would be the best way to downmix the ac3 stream?
Tried azid but can't get it to do a batch process... -
I use Azid to downmix ac3 to wav, ssrc to downsample (my dvd player requires 44,1kHz audio) and toolame (via TMPG because I use the source range) to encode to mp2.
Very good quality, but I don't see an option to do a batch process.
