I've got a set of tv episodes which I'm trying to reauthor. In all I have 24 episodes over 9 disks with between 2 and 5 episodes per disk.
I want to re-author these in tmpgenc dvd author so I have a set of 6 disks all with the same menu.
It seems no matter what I try though I'm always getting an audio synch problem, generally on one or two episodes on a disk.
I've used dvd shrink on some to fit them and in one instance just took the vobs from a disk and put them straight through tmpgenc dvd author.
All the episodes were recorded on standalone dvd recorders could this be a problem???
I'm getting at my wits end as I can't think of anything else to try.

I am having the exact same problem as you, let me guess the audio sync issue is always near the end of the dvd. The stuff I am trying to reauthor is also recorded on a stand alone.

Hope someone can help us. You are not alone.

  3. Suggestion: instead of shrinking the individual videos down to size then authoring, try authoring however many episodes (3, 4, etc.) you want on a disc, check to see if this is the cause of the sync problem, then shrinking the resulting files.

This will allow you to see if it is the shrinking or the authoring causing the problem.

Yep, the audio sync issue is near the end of the title.
I've tried to reauthor a disk that hasn't been shrunk, ie taking the vobs, just adding a menu and reauthoring - same problem then.

Hey!!!! I've just manged to do a disk successfully.
Wether or not it works again is another matter.
I ripped the vobs with dvd decrypter then used ifoedit to generate a new video ts and resaved the ifos then run ifoedit on the new video ts and resaved the ifos once more.
Used these files for the authoring and it's OK.
Gonna try something with a few more titles to see how it goes.

I have also tried running the DVD through DVD Decrypter then impoting the new files to TDA as DVD files. This improved the audio sync slightly but it is still out of synce slightly near the end. Looking forward to getting back to my own PC to try your IFOEDIT solution. Please keep me posted. Its great to hear somebody else looking into this.
