  1. Hi.

I have a hauppage wintv-PVR card, and I installed the drivers from
http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/ and got much better results when
capturing from a VCR with virtualdub... great! but...

On the card there is a line-in input, and a line-out output to connect to the soundcards line-in input. (that was messy...) It doesn't work anymore to use these in/out-puts, but I thought there was no problem as I can connect the VCR directly to the soundcards line-in without going through the hauppauge card.

The problem is when I wanna use the tuner input to watch / capture TV, I get no sound... Does anybody knows how to "activate" this? It would also be nice to use them when I capture from VCR as I have a feeling the sync would be better (I've had small sync problems now, never had it when I used the old drivers).

Would be greatful for some help here....

  2. Hi,

I have exactly the same problem with my WinTV Theatre. Video capture works excellent with btwincap, but I dont have any chance to activate audio from my TV tuner.

For the hauppauge driver exists a small but very usefull tool called wintvsel.exe, but this one doesnt work anymore with the btwincap drivers.

So they are very good in quality, but absolutely useless if I dont have audio.

Has anyone any other ideas to workarround this problem?

    Regards,
    -Bert.

With XP-the Btwincap installer did exactly that to me. Reinstalled OS, did not install OEM drivers and installed the Btwincap drivers manually (without using installer)-has worked perfectly since then.
    Have a Pixelview card.
