  1. hello, i was wondering if it was possible to rip and select different episodes from different tv shows. For example if i was to rip an episode from off the shield and wanted to rip one from off csi and combine the two together is this possible and if so how would i go about doing this.

You need to make sure that both of the files you are combining are the same bitrate then use an avi joiner to join the two files together I use easy video joiner and for splitting I use easy video splitter both made by the same company and work pretty well. if they are aren't the same bit rate or are encoded differently then it will not let you combine them and you will have to reencode.

Do you wish to join to one file, author to one DVD or what ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Yep it is possible. Do you need a menu ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. yeah i think that i am going to just use a cheap menu option. would like to keep the oriningal ones though but i am not that advance in figuring that out been trying to figuer that out and still havn't got it down right. I wish there was an easy software that would let you select which menus. So far i have had varible success with nerorecode but it takes it too long to do everything. So how would i go about ripping just individual episodes now. i have dvd decrypter, dvd2one, and nerorecode to work with.

You can set up DVDDEcrypter to split VOBs by chapter. This is probably the easiest option, depending on the chapter structure of the original disc. Is the disc one big titleset (VTS_01) or is each episode in its own titleset ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

It's very simple to isolate individual episodes using DVDShrink. Just use the start frame/end frame function in Re-author mode. And you can mix different Title Sets on the same dvd using Shrink....very simple process. Each title set would have it's own track. But, that wouldn't let you create a navigable menu.

I've done something very similar to what you want using dvdshrink, ReJig, and TMPGEnc DVDAuthor. First, simply isolate the episodes with each as a title set using shrink. Then, use Rejig's IFO Mode to demux video and audio tracks(for one thing it helps prevent audio sync issues). Then use TDA to author the dvd with a menu. You'll most likely only be able to keep a single audio track, but this method works fine.

  10. first off let me thank everyone.

I have a hypothesis that i want to test out. Let me kno if i am wasting my time. when i used dvd decrypter to decrypt the entire dvd. I then ran it through dvd 2 one i notice that as with movies it selects the main movie file only but i also notice that with episode disks it only select one and leaves the other unselected. so i went back and started dvd2one all the other remaining ones into different folders. I was wondering if i could just auther a dvd with these files? and if so how. I am going to set down with tmpeg dvd author and try it out there. let me know if i am wasting time

  12. I still need to find out if this method will work with different disks. I just used it on the same discs writing the same rip episodes off the same disc. I am going to rip some cartoons and find out. l
