  1. Hi,

i have 3 miniDVDs (for 1 movie), all include the .vob .bup and .ifo files in the VIDEO_TS-folder.
Now iīd like to transfer them on only 1 DVD.
Is there an easy way to do it without having kind of 3 seperate movies on 1 dvd.

    thanks for that...

easiest is to use tmpgenc dvd author, select add dvd video.
if you want more advanced authoring use dvd-lab or dvd-lab pro, just add the vobs.

you can also use dvd shrink but you wont get any menus then(search for dvd shrink multiple dvds to one dvdr guides).

The real easy way would be to use something like TMPGEnc DVD Author and just add each miniDVD as a seperate clip on the same track. You will get a slight pause as you progress from one "title" to another though.

A better way would be to use VOBEdit to join all of the VOBs together and then use IFOEdit to recreate the IFO and BUP files. No pauses this way either.

EDIT: You beat me to it, oh great one. I really gotta get rid of dialup...
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. thanks for the fast answer.

VOBedit looks good. already downloaded it but i canīt handle it.
to join the 3 VOBs to only 1... i have to open all the 3, havenīt i?
but i canīt find these options.

tmpgenc dvd author doesnīt look that good cause of the pauses.. but iīll try myself with it...

To use VOBEdit to join clips:
Copy the VOBs off each miniDVD to your Hard Drive, each miniDVD in its own folder such as disc1, disc2 and disc3. I assume here that each miniDVD only has VTS_01_1.VOB and not a VTS_01_2.VOB ?

If this is the case, rename VTS_01_1.VOB in disc1 folder to VTS_01_001.VOB. Rename VTS_01_1.VOB in disc2 folder to VTS_01_002.VOB. Rename VTS_01_1.VOB in disc3 folder to VTS_01_003.VOB. Copy VTS_01_001.VOB - VTS01_003.VOB into a folder all by themselves. Open VOBEdit, Open VTS_01_001.VOB and go to Edit > Join Clips. It will ask you for a destination filename, which is fine to leave as VTS_01_1 in the same directory. It will ask you for a starting ID, which is fine to leave as 1.

VOBEdit will create VTS_01_1.VOB - VTS_01_3.VOB for you. You can now delete VTS_01_001.VOB - VTS_01_003.VOB. Now all you need to do is load IFOEdit and press the Create IFOs button. It will ask you for the location of VTS_01_1.VOB. Point it to this and it will create your IFOs for you. Burn the IFOs, BUP and VOBs and job is right !
    If in doubt, Google it.

I think I got a slight pause when I added different Videos in separate tracks. In the same track they should be fine, I think ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. ah, now i got the point.

but maybe i should edit my first post.
the 3. vob files after joining with VOBedit are 2gb big.
with these i files i can burn a normal dvd.

but i want to have one big file to put it into dvd-lab with another movie... so that i can have 2 movies on one dvd.
the one with the "3 minidvds" and another one.

I'm not familiar with DVD-Lab so I don't know what inputs it requires.
    If in doubt, Google it.
