using nero to burn menus on my VCD's works fine in my pioneer Dv525 but when I put it in my Apex 660 the menus dont show on the screen and only the first chapter plays and the next chapters follow suit after. Is this a authoring problem or a prob with my player.

I don't have an Apex, but do you have "PBC" turned on for your player?

I have the same problem and the same conditions, which leads me to believe it is the Apex 660. I can still access each individual clip on the VCD, but the menu is nowhere to be found. I have tried with PCB on and off, with no difference.
Does anyone know of some software VCD players that will let me see if I am doing the menu right?!
I am using Nero 5.5 to burn and create the menus.
Does anyone have an Apex 660, and create their VCD's in another program AND get the menus to work?!

I remember vaguely someone mentioning that you have to press "PLAY" on the Apex to start PBC interpretation. Have you tried that?

Thanks, I ended up discovering that on accident. I thought I had to hit the root menu/digest button, but it was just a simple "PLAY" that did it.
