    I highly doubt it. Check the certification logo. They have different logos for AVC.

    the logo is nero standard.
    can it still play nero cinema and maximum def.

    If I was selling a player that supported those profiles, I wouldn't hide it. You have the player though so you can test whatever you like. You wouldn't need particulary long samples or real hi def, upsizing would be fine.
