Just saw the sale flier for next week and these are on sale for $24.99 with a $7.00 instant rebate and $5.00 mail in rebate. At my office max these are the made in Japan disks that everyone loves. Probably a limit of one per household.

How do you lose 8 rebates? Actually, Fuji never even claimed they were lost, just said re-submit, like it was a known issue.
Be very careful, The media is great, but Fuji is the worst about rebates lately, even worse than OM.
I FINALLY got a rebate check yesterday from them for some(not all)rebates from October/November.
This was done via Fuji's online rebate site, which claimed rebates in 20 days!
This is a serious problem, they suddenly just stop paying rebates from what I could tell. I had to fax them copies of 8 rebates! how do you lose 8? I have heard of others claiming they have had problems and had to file a complaint with the FTC.
I am still waiting on some more from Oct/Nov, that still have not been paid, even after faxing and emailing them.
Fuji is not to be trusted any longer. They were always great about rebates, no problems until october. -
$24.99 - $7.00 instant rebate !!!! Still a killer deal
Even a fool can be wise, all he has to do is keep his mouth shut -
This won't always work, but if you are getting the runaround (not a suprize with rebates), take your paper evidence (anything you can gather, emails etc.) and go to the store. Tell them you are having a problem with the sale that they offered in their advertisment. You have submited the proper materials etc., but cannot get your rebate etc... Individual managers at certain stores may be pricks, but overall, I have the impression that they do have discression to just give you the rebate. I have also been given the impression that office max is very lienient with rebates. I got 100 imation dvd's for 40$ out the door as a substitution. Since the dvd's they subed were also on sale and had a 20$ rebate, after long thought, I decided not to send in for all four (its normally limit one, but I don't recall a limit on this rebate). I figured asking for 80$ in rebates when I only paid 40$ was just not going to happen. I sent in the rebate for one. I got an email confirmation that the rebate was good and being fowarded to the manufacture or something like that, and that it would have taken two weeks less online etc. So basically, 20$ for 100 dvd's!!! If I can get that kind of deal, shurly you can go a higher manager in the store, and get any rebates you have lost. What do you have to loose?

I am done doing business with Office Max after they stiffed me on a $30 rebate when they sold a Cendyne CD R/W drive after the company had already gone bankrupt and the rebates were no good. Much complaning and letters to managers and supervisors went unanswered.
Still a few bugs in the system... -
wow! I got stuck in that Cendyne mess also, but both Staples and BestBuy paid the rebate after contacting them.
I figure I'll get the rest of my Fuji rebates, but it shouldn't be this difficult nor should I need to wait 5 months for them, when they state 20 days. For this to happen with EIGHT rebates tells me this is how they do business.
I know the TY's are great, and even without the rebate it's a good price, but I really don't think I want to give a company that treats its' customers like this any more money. I'll just buy Maxells or get TY's in bulk from Rima. -

They wil not give a raincheck unless you demand it (in some cases they still refuse, saying they will come in). In fact, has anybody actually got a paper raincheck (not arangments with the manager), from office max? They are playing a game of advertising great deal that they don't have. I have been there, waiting for them to open the doors. They often do not have, and have admitied that they will not get, advertised merchandise. If the stores happen to have it in stock, then they do, if not ????
I say, if office max is going to offer unbelevable deals, to pull coustomers in, it is perfectlly honest, to occationally, make them stick to the deals they advertised. My best deals
pacific digital dvd burner (liteon 851s), out the door, I paid 50$!!! The reciept said dual format dvd 199.99
grp disc $off f1 -150.00
Number: *********
49.99
I'll leave the rest out. The after rebate price was 50$ and the pacific digital was a substitution.
Canon a70 digital camera (three months after it came out so it was still 300$ everywhere, to replace my a40, which my wfe now loves). 200$ with a free card reader, and a free 128mb cf card (80$ retail but you could get them for 50 online, and now they cost halfthat at best).
Office max, office depot, and staples all send coupons to my work (and they let me have them). They are the same deals that you see online, but with the paper coupon, they are good instore. I just wish they would send them more often. -
Hey they gave me four rebate reciepts for $10 bucks each so I figured the only way to not get screwed was to send them all in. When I got the email saying my $20 dollar rebate was valid I thought hmm... must be a screwup on there part. O well I just checked the status of my rebate and it says they mailed a check on 4-2-04
I can't wait to see if they send all four.
