2 problems: I want to burn an audio cd of the audio file from a dvd made from a Panasonic dvd recorder, but the audio seems to be buried. Any ideas?
Also, I have a dvd (made from a different recorder) which only had the LEFT audio recorded on it. Using a computer (not a dvd player hooked up to a dvd recorder), how could I re-burn the dvd using the LEFT track for both LEFT and RIGHT tracks?

Vobedit will demux the audio and video from a VOB file, or one of the ripping programs (smartripper, dvd decrypter?) will rip a DVD into elementary streams.

Demux the audio and video with VOBedit. Load the audio into Goldwave.
    - First blank out the right chnnel.....Edit>channel>right, edit>select all, edit>cut
    - Then copy the left channel to the right...edit>channel>left, edit>select all, edit>copy, edit>channel> right, edit>paste. After that's done you can save out a new wav file. You can convert your wav to MP2 (besweet) or AC3 (ffmpeggui) then feed your audio and video back into an authoring program and burn.

If you've never used the programs before, I agree. I did it as a test while composing my original reply.
