Convert a .mpg file (mpeg2) to the .vob files for burning

I'm capturing a vhs tape to an .mpg file (its mpeg2), All I need is to convert it to the vob files to burn it in nero 6. How do I do this?

My file will already be small enough to fit on a dvd disc. Is there any quality lost converting to the .vob files?

I recorded some stuff from TV and used Womble to take out all the commercials then used pinnacle studio 8 to make the dvd.. Worked great for me.

No quality loss in creating VOB's. Any authoring program will create the VOB's, click on the "Author" link over there <-<-<.
