I am able to capture Video with several software programs (Pinnacle Studio 8, Microsoft Windows Movie Maker). I would like to watch Video on my Notebook PC using my DV camcorder as a "passthrough" device, connecting the camcorder to the Notebook PC using firewire. Does anyone know of software that will allow full screen viewing in this manner?

im not sure about full screen. check out the tools section to the left, maybe you'll find something. the only way i know of to do it, is to just capture the video, then play it back full screen. i dont think you can play it back full screen with out captureing it first though

Did you try to "fake it" with PS8 and select in Make option "Make Tape" ?

I have finally found a software product that will allow me to watch video, full screen, on my Laptop computer using my DV camcorder via firewire to the Laptop. I can also watch live TV by connecting my Satellite TV receiver video & audio out to the camcorder, and then use the camcorder as a "pass through" device. The DV camcorder converts the composite video & audio to DV.
Intervideo WinDVD Recorder & WinDVR, both will do the job. WinDVD Recorder appears to have much better resolution.
