    anyone have any idea's as to when SP2 for XP will be released. i understand RC1 is out, but not the final..

    i'm kind of anxious to do a format and install of xp (sp2 slipstreamed).. i've been running this installation of xp for like 2 years now. there's nothing really wrong with it, it just feels cluttered.

    be aware that sp2 will contan some "features" i'm sure you may not be so happy with ..... look it up ..

    as for release - i heard june

    First I've heard of this, "may break some applications due to security changes" is the worst I've heard.

    I haven't read about it yet but will that be for both XP Home and Pro or will there two different SP's?

    i think it will be packaged as one sp ..

    more info (than i possably know) is on various win beta sites ..

    yes == more big brother stuff in this release ..
