I think I have narrowed down my first purchase of video editing equipment down to the Canopus ADVC-300 or the ACEDVio Adobe Ultra bundle package. In case you don't know, the ACEDVio Adobe bundle package comes with the ACEDVio PCI Card and Adobe® Premiere® Pro, Adobe Audition™ and Adobe Encore™ DVD for $599.00. Or I can get the ADVC-300 for around $500.00 but then have to buy software.
What I want to do is transfer old VHS tapes to DVD with professional menus and chapters. I also want to edit different clips together and add music to the background. If possible I want to clean up some of the poor picture and sound quality of some of the tapes before transferring.
So my question is if you were starting out like I am and looking to do what I am looking to do, would you go with the ADVC-300 or the ACEDVio Ultra Bundle package? The package seems like a great deal but I like the picture cleanup feature on the ADVC-300.
Just thought I would consult with the knowledgeable folks on this board before I jump into a big purchase. Thanks!!!
