Has anyone figured out how to use the split function. I've tried all morning with no luck.It is not user friendly.
I'm sure it's just something simple, but a step by step would be nice. The help file isn't much help for this either.
    Thanks Brad Miller

I tried a full disk i had ripped to my hard drive. The first disk i preseved the menu.Highlite the movie, select the scissors icon and then use the slider to select the first part of the movie for disk 1.When that is complete, hit the back button until you get to the video titles window again.
This time i deselected the preserve menus box, right clicked on the main movie and selected invert for split. The slider now has the second part of the movie selected, along with all the other junk i had deselected the first time.I then had to deselect all the junk again and made disk file 2.
    This was a 2 hour movie.Disk 1 took 8 min. and disk 2, 6 minutes.
I want to try intervideo dvd copy 2 to compare but it has a bug in it.
Intervideo's new version 2 puts the first part of a movie on disk 2 and the second part on disk 1,and nothing works. You get a navigation error when trying to play it in ifoedit.I phoned tech support in California, and they said they will check it out and get back to me.
    We'll see.

  5. Thanks. I got it working too. Have you tried DVDFab? Does it keep the menus too?

  6. DvdReMake could be another option.

No,i haven't tried dvdfab.I don't know if there can be much improvement on speed or quality from clonedvd.
Intervideo still hasn't got back to me about the 2 disk problem on platinum 2.

Yes, menus can be preserved with DVD Fab. By the way, which version of CloneDVD allows for splitting movies? I have CloneDVD, but I've never noticed any such function

  9. It seems to be part of the new functionality of V2

I'm happy sticking with DVDRemake tho.
