how about setting up an irc channel? im sure alot of ppl would love to join in and chat about what they want, and all the ppl who keep posting repeated questions because they are impatient and want answers straight away would be sure to have some1 who could answer their questions, and therefore take a load off the forums......

The key words there are "in irc rooms"... Not all rooms are filled with lamers that think they're hackers and have nothing better to do than harass chatters. With mIRC you can control everything more than in a forum. You could moderate the room, and only give a voice to those who are saying real and helpful things... if a lamer joins, you kick him or mute him. Not to mention once someone starts harassing you, you type a simple command and they are ignored forever, until you take them off of your ignore list. And in IRC you can have fservs to serv files and stuff, like the DVD Conversion Guide in PDF format. There are also just normal people like me that don't have an fserv, but have tons of files to send to you folks. Plus, Baldrick said he's already made the room on Efnet or something... I remember a past post where he said this. But yeah, an IRC room would kick ass. I'm always on IRC, so joining yet another room wouldn't even make me notice.
