  2. Althought I'm not a pro in this area, it almost sounds like your getting some type of interferrence (SP!) from the coax. I would exp check the shielding to make sure there are no visible 'splits' and the connectors to make sure they are not loose.

Coax with gold connectors tend to give you a better signal clairity, but cost more then the 'cheaper' coax. Also, if my memory serves me right, depending on the length of the coax, you can run in to some signal degragration (geeze my spelling needs some help lol), so if possible keep the lengths of the coax to a min.

One other thing, this might not be the problem in your case, but I've seen it happens tons of times. The power goes out, someone mucks with the settings on the tv, etc...so make sure this problem isn't with the color setting on your tv...sometimes its as simple as resetting the tv settings to the factory defaults.

Lastly, yes there are different levels of coax, the cheaper brands (sometimes sold in bulk lengths) don't have the the quality shielding or
connectors as the better products do. It's up to you but I've found it ya watch what ya buy ya can get quality coax for a decent price, and it will usually solve most of your problems.

    Hope this helps,

    Sabro
