  1. I'm making VCDs of "Highlander" and "Seven Days" off of SpikeTV. Trouble is, they keep putting
program ads in the corner before going to commercial. Is there a program I can use to make a
mask to cover these ads? Nothing fancy; a gray or black rectangle to hide them will do.

I capture with WinDVR in MPEG-2, and convert it to MPEG-1 with TMPGEnc, so I can add the mask
in either file form. A free program (like TMPGEnc) would be ideal, of course. Thanks!

  3. I've looked up LogoAway. What I found says that that's for AVI files. What can I use on MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files?

  5. Okay, I've tried playing around with VirtualDubMod and LogoAway, and I've managed to get the blurry mask
box the right size, and in the right place. Can anyone tell me how to set it up so that the mask only comes on
when the promo does, instead of having it on there through the entire program segment? In other words, how
do I tell LogoAway, "Start the mask at this point in the segment, and end it at this point"?
    Thanks!
