  1. I copied a vcd(2discs) to dvd using afonics guide
    step 1,merged bothdiscs using TMPEG
step 2,created separate audio and video file using TMPEG
step 3,converted audio file from 44 to 48 khz using BeSweet
step 4,authored my dvd using TMPEnc DVDAuthor
Yes I thought you have been a clever boy but to my horror the audio lags by about 4 seconds I have looked through gudes and FAQ but i cant get my head round it.Is there a simple way to bring it all back in sync.

    Please help this newbie

Merging mpeg video often cause troubles.

Have you just tried to use tmpgenc dvd author? import the vcd mpgs and it will reconvert the audio to 48khz.

  3. I just followed the guides merged the vcds split them into audio and vid, converted the audio.First off I tried loading from the vcds into TMPGAuthor but it rejected the files(they were mpeg) thats why I went through all the longwinded stuff.
My girlfriend thinks Im sad but I was well proud of myself making a DVD only to be crushed by the sound being too far away.
I have just thought of a solution If I put my tv on the moon and keep my speakers in same room.by the time I see the pictures sound should be in the right place.

  4. I had this issue and had to add a negative delay to one of my audios using Besweet.
Had to keep on creating a new mp2 and then preview in TMPGenc Author to see if i had the time for the delay at the correct value.

Do both vcd discs lag with audio on the DVD or just the 2nd one?
I also don't merge the MPEG1 because sometimes the audio on the 2nd disc gets out of sync. I just import both discs seperatly into TMPGenc Author.

And yes, as Baldrick says, leave the audio at 44.1Khz and let TMPGenc Author convert it for you.

  5. Ive just tried what you suggested loading vcds directly into DVD author which I had done before and it gives 3 reasons why file is unable to be used in current format
    1-Vid Res 480x480
    2-vid framerate 29.97
    3-vid gop is too long

hope this helps you understand my prob a bit better

  6. These are not VCD's, probably SVCDs.
Don't think this method you are following works for them.

Those files are SVCD. You CAN trick TMPGEnc into allowing them by simply changing the header of the file to DVD format, then, after TMPGEnc has converted them to DVD, change the header back to 480x480.

Do a forum search on DVD patcher and you should find the guides to help you.
