Hi,

Ok I used the doom9 guide to make an AVI from a DVD. The guide I followed is the DVD to Xvid using Gordian Knot/virtual dub. I then proceeded to use nandub to split the avi into 2 files. After that I encoded each movie with tmpenc into a mpeg-2 and burned them as a SVCDs with NTI CD Maker. When I played the movie on my DVD player I saw that during movement there were blurry images. When there was little movement the picture was fine and this only occured during high movement scenes. I was wondering what is causing this. I didn't use any filters on it at all either.

Also on a similar note is someone told me that SVCDs require interlaced video or something and that if my source AVI had interlaced movement then it was ok to make into an SVCD. Well some of my AVIs do have interlace on them and come from interlaced DVDs. When I do make these into SVCDs and play them I still see the interlace on my screen! At the same time some movies that I downloaded as DVD-rips into AVI don't have any interlaced movement while the source DVD was interlaced. When I convert these movies into SVCDs, there is no interlaced movement either. I'm just really wondering how people do this because I don't like blur or interlace during movement. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
