I just installed a ST Labs TV.AV Capture Card and everything seems to work fine except for the fact that I have no audio. I have attached the 1/8 inch audio cable from the capture card to my sound card. I have tried the device in S-Video Mode and Video-In Mode (RCA TYPE JACK). I do have audio in CCTV Mode but its just a snow screen. I have a satellite reciever hooked up to my Capture Card and I can capture the video in several different formats but I dont have audio when its capturing and I don't have audio during playback of the file. I have went into my computers volume control panel and turned the "line in" volume up and also selected the Recording Control Panel and checked the "line in" as the source to record. Im stuck and not sure what to do from here ...
Thanks For All Of Your Help

One way of testing this is to play your source but don't start the capture. The audio should come through on your speakers anyway. If it doesn't, there is something wrong with your software or hardware. If in doubt, Google it. -
Well , you'll need to go back and check all the hardware connections again.
Video Card installed (it's probably fine)
The Audio jack from the Video card into the 'Line In' on the computer (i'm assuming you have this type of setup , don't all Capture cards?)
Head over to the Sound Properties again , make sure @ the 'Recording Control Panel' that 'Line in' is checked.
If your using RCA inputs , make sure all three are connected
Basically , you've skipped a basic step , hard to tell which one though. -
They didnt include anything to carry the audio from the device to the capture card. The S-Video Cable carrys the video from the satellite reciever to the card, the 1-8 inch patch cable carrys the audio from the capture card to the sound card, so I'm going to get a cable with two rca plugs on one end (for the satellite reciever) and a 1-8 plug on the other (for the capture card) ... that sound carry the audio from the reciever to the capture card so that there is audio there for that patch cable to carry over to the sound card. I guess it was something simple that I missed.
