I am new to the DVD burning game and the dealer(or factory) installed dvd player in my GMC Envoy is giving me fits. I can't figure out what combination of burning software, media type, switching setttings, etc., will create a disc that will play. My tools of choice are DVDDecrypter, DVD2One, and Nero with DVD+R media. I've read that it really is a game of hit or miss to find out what works, but there are so many different combinations that I could create a lot of coasters until I find the right one. If anyone can definitively tell me what combination of hardware, software, and media type works, I would be truly grateful. So will my kids. Thanks again

Have you verified that the player reads +R discs or not yet?

I don't know what you mean by "verified"? I have tried +r and +-rw and neither work. Speaking to the GMC dealer, I was told the player is made by Visteon. I can't find any info on them that's useful. I bought some -r today. I'll see if they work. Thankls for the response.

  4. you might want to try burning your discs with recordnow max.. every other version of nero has some kind of dvd burning bug in it.
