I am having trouble with SVCD playback.

I have WinDVD installed on my computer, and I can play SVCD's perfectly through that. My problem is that Window's Media Player will not open them, it just freezes when I try to view them. My major concern, though, is that I can not open MPEG2 files with TMPGEnc. I have tried installing the MPEG2 codec that is in the "tools" section, but I have had no joy.

Any ideas?
