I have about 7 gigs of videos captured from vhs as mpg2 files on my computer. When I Captured them I didnt realize dvd needed 720x480 or 352x480 to work without re-encoding them. They are currently at 640x480 and they wont import to tmpgenc dvd author, or burn without conversion with dvd movie factory. When DVD movie factory converts the files, they create dvd compliant mpgs but there are major audio sync problems. I also know I could individually re-encode all the videos with tmpgenc plus(which would be a big pain). What I would like is to know the easiest way to convert my 640x480 mpg2's to DVD.
It seems that DVD Movie factory is doing exactly what i want by converting them for me, it just has very inconsistent audio syncing. The original mpg2's look and play fine on my H.D. Any help on easing my problem would be greatly appreciated.

To Simplify my post, I want the easiest way to Author a DVD with mpg2's at 640X480. I would prefer that the authoring program do the converting. Also has anyone had the same audio syncing problems when converting with ULEAD Dvd Movie Factory 2.5 SE, if so is there a way around it.

Could some one at lest reccomend a DVD authoring program that will automatically correctly convert these 640X480 mpgs for me.

OR, Is there a way to set up a conversion of multiple mpg's at once(with tmpgenc or other). I have about 20 mpg2's that need converted. It would take about a whole day to do that.

  4. I capture at 640x480 and use TMpeg enc to convert to 720x480 before I throw it into Movie Factory.. it takes a while, but I haven't had any audio-sync probs as of yet..

Im just wondering as to why you dont captue at 720x480 or 352x480. Wouldnt the best option to just import the dvd compliant video directly into Ulead MF.
