  1. Could anyone recommend a good multi-disc DVD player? This will be my first stand alone DVD player and I need a multi-disc because I'm paralized from my chest down and I'm unable to load the disc myself. I want to buy a mult-disc player that will play virtually all media types and as many formats as possible. If playing VCD's and SVCD's I'd like it to be able to just switch to the next disc or be changed by the remote.

I was looking at the Sony DVP-NC665P but if anyone knows of a better player please point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks,

I'd say you're right on with Sony. I've had the Sony DVP NC600 for a little over a year now and have never had any problems. It will even play discs with broken lead ins that my apex and even my PC won't play!
Bottom line, Sony makes quality products.
Life is too important to take seriously.

Now that's a hard thing these days, I bought a cheap player from Coles supermarket, an AFK, made in China designed in Germany.

Plays anything I put in it, and I mean anything, DVD or SVCD VCD CD burns!!

    Sold my Pioneer in disgust.

  4. Thanks for the feedback on the sony. Hopefully now I can find one locally, I live in BFE and we don't have a BestBuy or Circut City. I think Sears carries them though but the price is about $40 more than Circut City.
