  1. I am working with a video that is :

    DivX 5.0
    01:54:25 (137,298 fr)
    560x288 (1.94:1) [=35:18]
    729 kb/s
    FPS=20.000
    0.226 bits/pixel

    AUDIO:

    0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3

i thought the fps might be alittle wierd myself not sure though.

anywho, i processed this 3 times thinking it might be something i am doing. everytime i am finished i start out with a file size of 707MB and end up with a file size (video only) 909MB........... i am doing this video only also, i forgot to mention that.......

I dont remember why exactly i am doing this video only.....hehehehe..... i have screwed this up so many times i have lost my own ass hehehehe......

seriously though i think TMPGEnc was causing me problems while running both vid and audio..... so i used virtual dub Mod and demux'd a wav and a mp3 file just to see how they turned out........... they were both identicle in size....... which obviously has led myself to more confusion.

Please help anyone thank you very much!

Oh ya i did do a search here and found a few post that were similar but none of the ideas brought forth helped........

the only one i remember at this point of the game is the bad frame idea.....i did a check and the divx video is fine....no bad frames..... it plays great too.......

  2. It would help if you gave a little more detail such as what is your target format ((S)VCD or DVD) and what process/template/wizard settings you have use in TmpGenc. This would save a lot of guess work and supposition.

  3. my goal is dvd ( Mpeg2), and i followed the wizzard thru, and didnt change anything while following the wizard at........ http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegenc

also i realized why i had decided to do the audo seperate. at the part of the wizard where you can select how much of the disc capacity you want to use, i had problems. it wouldnt allow me to change anything at all and it showed 230% of the dvd/cd.

I hope this is enough information, i was all worried about not giving you enough information on the first post knowing that someone would be up my &^%%^& for being an idiot. hehehehe... oh well , i apologize.[/img]

  4. Hmmm, strange.

Have you tried playing the 900Mb video file TmpGenc gives you? Is it the right length? Try opening this mpeg file (.m2v it should be) in bitrate viewer and chacking the framerate and resolution. Make sure they match the requirements for DVD.

  5. no i already deleted the file but........ i did check it out... and it was barely viewable.......... it was full of blocks or probably pixels that were all messed up........ it mutilated the video....... there was no way i could use it.

also i thought i might mention that i have done several of these before and it only seems to be certain videos that do this...... each one that does this is totally different, there is no comparison to compare them with to formulate an idea towards the problem. but like i say i am doing a video right now that is xvid/mpeg........ and i am pretty confident this one will come out........ it is from a series of videos from the same individual and so far all of his that i have done have converted to dvd with no problem.
