capture software ?

I have a adaptec media center capture card pci. It came with WINDVD but I was looking to try other programs. Does anyone know of any programs that work with my capture card. So far I have not found any.

Have you tried:

1.) TheFlyDS
2.) iuVCR
3.) VirtualVCR

Those work with captue cards that use WDM drivers which is most likely the way your card works although I admit I know nothing about it.

Anyways these programs are good at capturing to AVI format ... most people use the HuffyUV codec or the PICVideo MJPEG codec.

If you want to capture direct to MPEG-1 and/or MPEG-2 then try the new Mainconcept PVR program.

Just a heads up to anybody searching this forum for software solutons for VideoH capture cards. I settled on Sage TV 1.4, So far it's working great.
