    I'm planning to buy this Sony Vaio pc that comes with Sony DVD burner (DW-U14A) but looking at 4x media at Meritline I did not find any that is compatible with this burner.

    Anyone out there that has sucess stories using dis burner?

    I buddy of mine has this drive (it's apparently an OEM version of the 510) and he uses the Ritek 4x DVD-R's with no issue. He has also used the Memorex 4x DVD-R's with no issue.

    With my DW-U14A I use the TDK DVD+R that they sell at Costco. They are 4x compatable. I can burn a movie in about 15 minutes. I have never had a coaster and I've burned over 100 DVD's on it. They work great in my XBox and Apex AD 600A DVD Player. They also work fine on a Panasonic DVD and VCR combo that a family member ownes.
