I made a back up of a dvd with Imation dvd-r, and set it aside. Never checked the quality. I just assumed it was good. Now the original dvd is damaged. Now I noticed the back up has a lot of pixilation during play back. If I should get some better blank dvd's in the future, would I be able to transfer the backed up movie to another back up with the same quality as the original or at least better than the first back up ?
I checked the other back up copies where Imation was used. And I have the very same problems with all of them. Imation was a poor choice on my part.

If you did any transcoding or converting you wont get the original quality back. If it is just bad media you can copy it to a new better media(if your dvd drive can read the bad media then).
