  1. Hi I ripped Universal, Wbros, TRistar presentations of many DVd. They are in Vob files, so I want to put them in my home videos DVD, but I dont get the way to convert them in Mpeg to then edir my videos like in Studio 9 and then Authoring the DVd. What I need to convert vobs files in mpeg?

    Well, the prevailing to convert 80% of VOBs into MPEGs is to change the file extension to .mpg. The remaining or problematic VOBs should be loaded into Virtual Dub mod, then either saved as AVI, or frameserved to TMGEnc.

    It could be the sound is AC3. If it is, use the Virtual Dub option, but use Virtual Dub AC3.

  5. Sorry I realized that yes I converted ir to an avi with sound, but in the Studio 9 There is no sound,...I think that is becasue the sound is in AC3. Windows media player can play it with sound , but in studio the sound appears like a rect line

  6. I'm doing it now with the Virtualdub, but I cant'get the audio,... It's like the program can get the tipe of audio in the vob file...(ac3)

    Okay, see if you can strip the audio to a separate file. If you can load it into Gold Wave, and save it as a wave file.

  8. ok i will try that way, but there is any way to get all in one file? becasue if not then I will have to work with separates files and I can have problems with sync and things like that

  9. oops another problem, The orginal file with I'm working is something abouyt 40mb,...when I convert with the virtualmod form vob to avi it makes me a file of 2,5gb!!!!

    You just need a compression codec. Select one under Video-->Compression.
