    Ok i've been at this for a while. I'm trying to convert VOB to AVI and I'm using DVD shrink to rip the VOB files and then Xvid4PSP to convert the VOB to AVI. I'm testing a clip from an animated DVD and after I've converted to AVI my output file has those lines??? How can I get rid of these? Xvid4PSP has an option for progressive, which I'm under the impression gets rid of the lines. Any suggestions?

    Open your VOB with GSpot. It will report pics/s, frames/s, and fields/s. What does it say?
